If you want a button for almost anything go for the studio, if you want a few more new small hardware features but less buttons, go for the mk3. Both units can do the exact same thing as each other, it's just gonna have to be based off of how you want your workflow and your physical experience with the controllers to be. The MK3 has bigger and cleaner looking playing pads, a built in audio interface, screen displays identical to the Studios, a navigation knob that's arguably better or just as good as the maschine Studios Jog wheel, a touch strip (which kinda looks dumb but hey it's still there) and a few new buttons that no other maschines have had before. The MK3 is like what? 4 or 5 years newer than the Maschine Studio? And because of that, the MK3 has more HARDWARE features than the maschine Studio. ![]() I'm happy with my Studio and aren't mad the MK3 dropped soon after I purchased it because i personally love having all of those extra dedicated buttons. It's all about size and luxury if you will. As an owner of the maschine studio, I personally would advise you to make your decisions based off of this.the ONLY reason why the Studio is 200 bucks more than the MK3 is souly just do you can have more dedicated buttons to push and not have to press "shift" so much. ![]() Aside the keyboards and Komplete, I've been an owner of the maschine studio for a little over a year now, and owned mine only months before the MK3 dropped. I've owned every piece of this gear except for the MK3.
